Commercial Transformation & Governance · Sydney

A commercial transformation leader who turns complex technology change into governed, commercial outcomes.

Two decades leading large, complex change across government, retail, banking and AI — anchored by legal training. I work to keep transformation commercial, well-governed and measured.

For founders & early-stage teams

Working from the founder’s side.

I have built and commercialised technology from the founder’s side of the table. If you are taking a product to market or to investors, I can help you prepare for market and for investors.

01

Zero to one

As Chief Product Officer of an AI startup, took a generative-AI product from concept to launch.

02

Investor-ready

Pitched investors alongside the founder, secured a seed term sheet, and ran the due-diligence process.

03

Commercialisation

A master’s in technology commercialisation (UT Austin IC² Institute), and a lawyer’s eye on IP, contracts and the cap table.

Board & Advisory

A director who understands technology, risk and commercial value.

I bring governance instincts from legal training, two decades of operating experience, and hands-on work governing technology and AI. I currently lead a multi-year, enterprise-wide transformation program in NSW local government. I help boards oversee transformation, manage technology risk, and turn digital ambition into commercial results.

In the boardroom

An uncommon combination.

Five areas that rarely sit together, which is what lets me read a technology decision the way a board needs to.

01
Legal training
Risk, regulation and fiduciary thinking as a default lens.
02
Technology & AI
Hands-on oversight of AI adoption, data and cyber risk.
03
Commercialisation
Turning technology into revenue, not just capability.
04
Transformation
Real delivery across large, complex change programs.
05
Public & private
Government, regulated industries and listed-brand clients.
Contribution

What I bring to board discussions.

Technology & AI governance

Oversight of AI adoption, data protection, model risk and vendor terms.

Risk & regulatory oversight

Locating where regulatory, privacy and security exposure actually sits.

Strategic oversight

Testing whether transformation plans are fundable, deliverable and measurable.

Commercial & investment discipline

Scrutinising business cases, procurement and return on investment.

Cyber & data risk

Asking the right questions about data, security and resilience.

Stakeholder & reputation

Experience with citizens, regulators, customers and executives.

On the record

Oversight and accountability.

Authored a council-wide AI Policy, setting risk controls and corporate governance for responsible adoption.

Authored a revised $20M+ business case and chaired the vendor selection committee at Legal Aid NSW.

Managed a $1.5M+ annual budget and $3-5M+ build capability at Service NSW.

Delivered the MyServiceNSW Account and Australian-first Digital Driver Licence under public and regulatory scrutiny.

Authored C-suite and board briefings on retail strategy and risk at NCR.

Designed governance, staffing and funding models for a $2M+ savings program at the University of Melbourne.

Ran a national consulting practice with full profit-and-loss accountability at Wunderman Thompson.
