In most of the stalled transformation efforts I’ve experienced, two or more factors listed below were certainly present - particularly 2 + 4.
C-Suite sponsorship is key, but if middle management isn’t equally excited, initiatives are often slow rolled (deliberately delayed), effectively kneecapping them.
Ditto agile governance. Excessive reporting, reviews and the need to fix and commit to rolling, long-term targets can starve initiatives of oxygen and momentum.
