Enterprise relationships be like…
I received an email from a strategic vendor offering customer success / support or similar.
This was my second response, after a previous email asking similar questions.
Hint: Algorithms are not your friends.

Hi <name redacted>,
Thanks for following up.
Let me start by saying, I am a massive fan of <company’s> technology.
But I am not a fan of your 'customer success' process.
I get you're a tech startup (as are we!), and I get you use software to make peeps more productive. But that only gets you so far.
I saw your last email came via SuperHuman, and I assumed it was pre-canned message yada yada.
So in my reply to you - which you have happily responded to and asked me to schedule a meeting with you via Calendly - I specifically wrote:
>When you reply to this email, please reference pink dragons.
[Editor: because, you know, Lunar New Year!]
There was no pink dragon reference.
I shall therefore assume this was yet another pre-canned message.
Please do not send pre-canned messages to me.
I work for a startup. My inbox is busy. I read all inbound emails and personally respond to them. I am not a fan of vendors who script interactions.
Again, we will shortly be commencing our video development, but please consider this a very firm request that you do not send me automated messages under the guise of 'customer success'.
I read my all messages. When you do not, that makes this an unbalanced relationship.
