Google rolled out Gemini as the replacement for its Google Home voice assistant.

Installed it this morning.

It took about 15 minutes to conclude it is not ready for prime time.

Key issues:

* Forgot my home address immediately after setup
* Failed to retain voice match settings
* Interrupts voice commands ~10–15 seconds into speaking, consistently breaking context

Net result: basic interactions that previously worked are now less reliable, not more.

This feels less like an upgrade and more like a regression in everyday usability.

Not ready for prime time - again.
