So this will be interesting to monitor.

Of course, generational tension is the norm, and there will always be a focal point for the rift that serves as a catch-all for what is, in reality, multifaceted causation.

But this is the first generational 'face-off' that will be expressed (and amplified) via social media and 'always on' digital comms, which (as the recent past has clearly demonstrated) will likely lead to inflated emotional reactions and audience stratification.
