This book finally made it to the top of my reading pile. It has been quite an eye opening read.

Dr Sinclair spends a few chapters explaining his theory of why we die.

I can’t do it justice in a few words but, in short, we don’t die of old age, we die of diseases caused by *how* our bodies (well, cells) age.

Importantly, science shows us how this cell-level aging process can be slowed dramatically, reducing the risk of age-related diseases and, for many, extended healthier lifespans.

Some of the science is technical, but his writing style makes it very enjoyable and accessible to lay readers (like me).

The main chapters of the book discuss learnings from recent research into how both lifestyle changes (intermittent fasting, slight diet tweaks etc) and supplements/medicines can dramatically affect human lifespans.

The last chapters talk about the potential impact - societal, economic and others - should average lifespans regularly exceed current averages.

If nothing else, these final chapters should provide new thinking about potential longevity-related business and social opportunities.
