Inherent in the narrative, however, is a rigid hierarchy - based on proximity.

Having worked for and with national, AsiaPac and global companies, I can attest that proximity to the CEO is key to both influence and advancement...and blame.

One wonders what this depiction might look like in the WFH/‘zoom’ office environment.

Importantly, what new skills might be necessary to avoid the guano.
